Role Overview: The Senior Grant Accountant oversees daily financial management and accounting functions for various grants. This role requires expertise in fund accounting, government regulations, and internal processes. The accountant collaborates closely with management and external funders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and validate monthly reimbursement invoices for multiple grants.
Reconcile general ledgers, identify discrepancies, and implement corrections.
Assist with subcontractor invoice reviews and audits.
Maintain detailed budget versus actual financial reports.
Support management in maintaining allocation schedules and receivables collections.
Coordinate with the accounting team on payment coding and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of grant accounting experience (or 5-10 years of direct experience without degree).
Strong understanding of GAAP and federal guidelines (Title 2 CFR Part 200).
Previous ERP skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
